Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life! We want you to remember your wedding day with such clarity, it will feel like you’re reliving it. To help you do that, we created this blog to show you how you can capture those memories. Here are 5 ways to remember your wedding day.
Journal
As we all know, wedding days are really busy with getting ready, seeing family and friends, getting everything organized, and so forth. It might feel difficult to find time to journal, but we highly recommend it. You can turn it into a special moment with your spouse as you recall the events of the day, whether you chose to do it on your wedding day or a few days after. You can explain the things that were going through your head, what stuck out to you, and so much more.
One of the best ways to remember something is to write it down, so it only makes sense that writing down your wedding day experience will help you to remember it! If you don’t have time to write everything down, bullet those important details down in a journal, your phone, or even record a small video of you explaining those details. You will be so grateful you made the effort later.
For me, my wedding day went so fast. There were so many small things that happened that meant the world to me. A couple days after my wedding, I sat and wrote down everything I could remember about the day. I have been able to go back to that journal entry to remember those special moments.
Hire a Professional Photographer and Videographer
So, you may have predicted we would talk about this, but having a professional photographer and videographer is essential! Pictures speak a thousand words and you will want yours to represent those special moments! Photos give you something to print and share. Videos ensure those memories you have are captured and solidify all you experienced. It fuels emotions you will have from your photos.
Having a professional photographer will allow you to treasure these memories. It is one less thing off your plate, too! An organized photographer will help you achieve your wedding day goals, as well as allow you to tell your story every time you look back on your photos.

Have a Wedding Hashtag
If you know your wedding guests are on social media and will be taking pictures of the day, we encourage you to have a wedding hashtag! When your guests do take those pictures/stories, they can use the hashtag to get all of your photos in one place.
When choosing a hashtag, make sure someone else hasn’t used it. This will ensure you can have your own area of Instagram dedicated to your wedding pictures.
Personalize your Wedding Playlist
Creating a wedding playlist is probably something that is already on your list of things to do, so it works out perfectly! Make sure your wedding playlist represents you both. My husband and I worked on our playlist for a while to have songs that we loved.
It’s also fun to have a playlist ready that you can listen to while you get ready/travel on your wedding day!
I don’t know about you, but songs bring back memories for me. I can remember certain things that happened instantly just when I hear a song associated with that time of my life.
Make It a Tradition
Now that you have taken some steps to remember the day, make sure that you go back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Read your journal entry from your wedding day, go through with your spouse and look at your wedding pictures, and listen to your wedding playlist!
All of these things will help bring back those feelings from your wedding and help you feel those special moments all over again.
