Olivia and Jalen were one of the COVID couples who had to endure big wedding and travel plans and the cancellation of our photoshoots. It was so disheartening, but they were champs about it. They still were able to get married in 2020 but they moved away from Utah so I wasn’t able to do any photos for them. However, when they were traveling to visit Utah again in the winter they asked if they could do a first look and bridals session in the snow. Of course, I was stoked! We went up to Big Cottonwood Canyon to get into the fluffy, deep snow with mountains surrounding us. This location gets you the most unbeatable winter bridal look.
Olivia had a beautiful beach dress and sandal high heels for her wedding, but she wanted a wintery backdrop for her first look. I didn’t hear any complaints despite the freezing and snowy weather and the dress + the snowy mountains were a gorgeous look. She did what it took to get the gorgeous photos. Super impressed, Olivia! I would definitely say it was worth the ice-cold hands 🙂
Olivia and Jalen met in their first year of college and have been best friends ever since. Jalen moved to Utah from Puerto Rico to give their relationship a chance when about 6 months after he moved to Utah they got engaged (actually they got engaged in the magically country of Spain when they traveled there!). They were married in 2020 in a zoom wedding 4 months later. The cutest thing that Jalen said about Olivia is that he knew when he was dating her he knew he didn’t want to live without her. That’s usually a good indication to put a ring on it! These two are crazy about each other – go check them out in the photos below!
Kayla also filmed their first look session on YouTube. It’s amazing!
