Here are some ideas for the best locations to take summer photos in Utah. This list is not comprehensive but I can assure you that during the sunrise and sunset golden hours, your photos will turn out amazing!
I wouldn’t recommend hitting some of these locations during the heat of a summer day as some don’t have shade in their prime photo spots. But, you could explore and find something I didn’t! I love shooting in broad daylight for some contrast and harsh light for fashion editorials but not for nice engagement, bridals, and family sessions.
I’ve traveled up and down the state this summer and have found some of the best locations in the summertime for fun photos.
These locations span from northern to southern Utah but from Salt Lake City they’re all within a 3-hour drive, which is relatively close! You can make that trip in a day, an early morning, or late afternoon trip.
I’ve taken couples and families to all of these locations with lots of success. I’ve linked these to their blog posts so you get a more comprehensive view of the photo sessions at these locations during the summer.
Contact me for specifics on any of these locations!
